The founder of Songwriting Media, Inc., David W. Edwards, knows what it’s like to start out as a new songwriter. You have so many questions about how and where to get started on getting your songs heard. David started reading books and asking questions from hit songwriters and people who were in the music business. David, who has been very successful in the business world, at this point decided he wanted to help others who go through this process of learning the do’s and don’ts of songwriting and attempt to make it as a professional songwriter. He decided to design a network for artists and songwriters in Nashville and around the world to communicate and find answers to questions like “how can I make it as a songwriter?”
In our goal to evolve and stay a step or two behind current technology (We have tried staying ahead, but got ran over by it), we have decided to totally rebuild the SongwritingMedia.com portfolio of websites. This has proven to be a major, but rewarding undertaking.
Here are some of the new features of the sites:
- First of all, this forum is new. It is accessible and shared between all of the SWM sites
- Secondly, we have created a social network that is similar to ones you might be using now, but hopefully is one that you will like to use because of our "community"
- The online Magazine will be on every site
- More artist profiles and sharing of Artists profiles between sites
Our goal was and still is to make our sites a place where you meet up with friends, discover new talent, get discovered, and network your way through the industry of songwriting and performing
